Today we tried to reinstall our fuel tank into the Bronco, but we ran into a few problems. First, we began by jacking the car up on one for paver length, to give us extra room to work. Second, we got the fuel tank on a carjack and lifted it up in the back of the bed of the Bronco, as shown in the photo below. Next, we began to match the slots of the skid plate of the fuel tank with the slots with screws in the car. We were able to bolt a couple of screws in but ran into a problem, and still needed to do a couple more, but we need a clamp to help us hold the skid plate together with the frame where the fuel tank is to be bolted. Another problem we found was the installation of the fuel filler neck and hose, which is connected to the fuel tank. We tried to connect the hose into the fuel tank first because it is a two-part piece, but it was too hard to fit around the hole of the tank. We will most likely have Mr. Barrett on the worksite next time we work, so he can help us solve our problems.
