WHY CHOOSE TO RESTORE A 1983 FORD BRONCO?
We often get the question "Why does your group want to restore a 1983 Ford Bronco as your Capstone Project". Well, here is our explanation:
Our group had a wide range of ideas to pick from when brainstorming our ASE Capstone project for senior year. At first, we thought it would be best to restore a house because we were very interested in real estate and thought it would be useful to learn the components that make a fully functioning house. Then we stumbled upon a 1983 Ford Bronco that one of our group members, Ryan, found at his hunting lease. We decided to restore the Bronco for various reasons. One was that we were more interested in how cars worked and the engineering behind it rather than a house. Next, we thought knowing how to fix different components of a car is a very useful skill to have in the future. Lastly, we wanted to help out our client who wanted it restored and in the process learn from our mentor about automobiles and gain knowledge about cars.
